Stella Lee has more than 20 years of experience working in Fortune 50 companies in marketing and business development. She is adept at program development, execution, and management with a marketing perspective. Stella’s vast international business experience has enabled her to work with cross functional and cross-cultural teams. As an ESC Encore Fellow, Stella is the Strategic Plan Project Manager at The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc. (IPPI), a nonprofit that serves individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, adult living assistance services, foster care and many other services.
In her fellowship, Stella is guiding IPPI through the second year of a three-year strategic plan implementation process. The goal of the fellowship is to continue the initial work of the plan and move the organization from a confederation business model to a federation model. Stella will work with senior leaders and managers as they learn effective management strategies.
Stella’s motivation for pursuing an Encore Fellowship stems from her long-time desire to utilize her educational and corporate skills in the nonprofit sector. “I feel working for a nonprofit would be very fulfilling and would contribute to my community, which is very important to me.”
Stella has volunteered for numerous nonprofit organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Rosie’s Place, The Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence and the Pine Street Inn. She serves on the board of directors for the Newton Historic Society, focusing on development.
