Ramesh Advani is a highly experienced senior operations and financial executive with broad experience in grants management, domestic and international program management, IT, accounting, and financial management in both the private and public sectors. Ramesh joined Centering Healthcare Institute (CHI), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve health by transforming healthcare delivery through group care, as an ESC Encore Fellow in December of 2018. In his role, Ramesh is responsible for assessing CHI’s financial infrastructure and financial planning to support implementation of the organization’s growth strategy.
Ramesh says that “at this life stage, making a difference and leaving a sustained legacy beyond my past achievements is what is most important to my mental and physical satisfaction.” After three decades of working in global management in the financial services, high technology medical and materials manufacturing industries, he is eager to use his skills and experience to help nonprofits grow and succeed. After completing his fellowship in May of 2019, he subsequently joined Centering Healthcare as their CFO.
Looking additional ways to give back to his community, in 2003 Ramesh ran for public office in his hometown of Norfolk, MA. He became Massachusetts’ first Indian American Selectman, serving in this role for six years. He also is on several nonprofit boards including Hearth, a Boston nonprofit dedicated to ending elder homelessness and Artisan’s Asylum, a makerspace devoted to the teaching, learning and practice of fabrication.
