Jane Mann is a business professional skilled in managing teams, budgets and large complex programs Since joining ESC of New England in 2014, she has applied her extensive background in marketing, sales, and strategic planning for organizations such as Patton Homestead & Archive, Neponset River Watershed Association and Lexington Global Warming Action Coalition. Currently, Mann focuses on nonprofit management consulting. Some of her most recent engagements include business strategy/planning and marketing for a variety of local organizations.  

Mann has over 30 years of experience in marketing and sales and has extensive experience in managing large, complex initiatives for Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Data Systems, and Digital Equipment Corporation. At Hitachi Data Systems, Mann was responsible for driving customer awareness and demand for the worldwide sales organization. Mann managed the global marketing programs team and was responsible for creating integrated campaigns for worldwide implementation. Working with regional marketing and sales groups, she led her team in building comprehensive marketing programs with the full range of components: branding, messaging, communications, collateral, websites, and tactical campaigns. These campaigns included all the deliverables necessary to implement live events as well as direct, on-line, and social media marketing. Before Hitachi, Mann built the executive marketing program for Hewlett-Packard’s Software Division. A key achievement was developing a loyalty program for a new customer community and service line. 

Mann’s career started in sales at Digital Equipment. She was in the top 5% of the US Sales Organization for four years and overachieved revenue goals every year in sales. During her time with Digital, she was a Sales Executive calling on key customers such as Tufts, Children’s Hospital, Lotus (now IBM), and the US Air Force. Before Digital and her move from sales to marketing, Mann delivered sales skills training to sales professionals and business owners in the Boston area.    

Mann’s latest nonprofit activities include serving on the Board of Advisors of a youth organization and being a vital member of a citizens group that saved an organic farm from development.
